At CAP UCLA, our first priority is the health, safety and well-being of our community of artists, staff, production team and supporters. It is in this context and in response to the COVID-19 health crisis that we have suspended all performances for the remainder of the 2019-20 Season.

We have been in close communication with the artists and their management to begin the complex task of rescheduling their performances into the 2020-21 CAP UCLA Season beginning in September.

Ticket holders will automatically receive a refund for the full amount of the purchase. The business of ticket refunds is a workload of some magnitude. We appreciate your patience as we work through this process.

To learn more about UCLA’s ongoing response to this crisis, please visit UCLA’s dedicated COVID-19 website as well as Bruins Safe Online.

Be safe, be healthy, be strong.

“A strikingly personal experience...I considered my own ideas and notions of community in a new way...” —Los Angeles Magazine

Marike Splint is a theater maker from the Netherlands based in L.A. who specializes in creating work in public spaces that explores the relationship between people, places and identity. Among Us—UCLA is an audio-theater experience that navigates participants throughout the UCLA campus, while inviting active observation, quiet contemplation and self-revelation to explore the tension between our desire to belong and our desire to be free. The audience members are the protagonists and UCLA is the stage. A voice heard through headphones prompts the spectators to consider how they relate to the strangers on the streets and what they can imagine about their lives. The experience culminates in a game of choice and affiliation that gradually illuminates the hidden social structures that define us.

Limited to 30 people per performance. Please note this performance involves walking about 1 mile through public space. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes, and bring water, a hat and/or sunscreen. Please contact the box office if you require any special assistance with regards to mobility.

This project has been realized with generous support of: Oerol Festival, Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunsten, Fonds Podiumkunsten, Consulate General of The Netherlands in New York, UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television and The Netherland-America Foundation.
