Magos Herrera

Aire

”Herrera’s voice lightens to a wry smile as she sings of ideas entangling like ivy growing up a wall. She gets way under the skin of the song, recalling great communicators like Edith Piaf or Billie Holiday.” — NPR

Magos Herrera is one of the most expressive vocalists in the contemporary Latin American jazz scene. Known for her eloquent vocal improvisation and bold style, Mexico-City born Herrera sings in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, blending contemporary jazz with Mexican folk staples, and Latin American melodies and rhythms.
